My PTFS Journey

2023

Ever since 2023, I’ve been addicted to planes. I very often travel by plane, and that got me hooked on them. 10-year-old me also played a lot of Roblox, and when I heard about Pilot Training Flight Simulator, I instantly joined with my friends to check it out. It was one of the best games I’ve played in a while, with so many planes to choose from, and so many routes and destinations to fly to.

2024

In theory, that was it, right? Just log on to a game, play, and go off. But no, I wanted something more. I bought the ATC gamepass, which allowed me to become a controller in the tower, which added a lot more gameplay options. Then, in late 2024, one player told me about the even more realistic gameplay of the ATC24 Discord server, and how they used voice chats as frequencies to communicate with each other. 11-year-old me was doing flights almost every day, and that made me who I am today, an AvGeek, a tech nerd, and a guy who loves planes.

2026

Fast forward to early 2026: I go into the ATC24 Discord server, and I see an advertisement for Air Canada PTFS, and I remember thinking, why not hop in, check it out? That is when I realised that PTFS has realistic airlines that you could go and work for. This was enough for me to apply to almost all positions in Air Canada — Pilot, Cabin Crew, Ground Crew, you get the point. But shortly after that, I made a small system for cabin crew that I thought the management would like, but they declined it, and told me not to share or talk about it.

At this point in time, I am actively working with Air France PTFS as CTO (chief technical officer) to maintain my handbook and flight operations dashboard for all the staff members.
